Advocate for students with disabilities
Having dedicated the past 30 years to the field of special education, I am committed to helping students with disabilities receive an appropriate education. Through my work as a special education teacher, due process hearing officer, professor of special education, and co-author of over a dozen books, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my work as a consultant. My unique background combines knowledge of special education practices and procedures as well as special education law, allowing me to offer a range of services, including one-on-one consultations, district-wide professional development, IEP/FBA reviews, due process hearing preparation, and on-call support.
I pride myself on being informative yet personable, willing to listen to my clients while providing expert, up-to-date advice. In my presentations, I am able convey complex ideas, particularly regarding the intricacies of special education law, through an accessible, user-friendly manner.
